The pool is on the 5th terrace offering views of the village, valley and hills. Sunsets are spectacular and can be enjoyed from the house and garden.

The old Pierrefeu is a pretty hillside village but it has the advantage of not yet being 'touristic'. The 5 restaurants / pizzerias offer good value food. There are other excellent restaurants locally (details in the house booklet). The region is known for its Rose wine and there are many vineyards to visit around the village. You will be self- sufficient in the village which has 4 boulangeries / patisseries, 2 boucheries / delicatessen, 1 poissonerie, fruit and vegetable shop and small SPAR supermarket. There are also market stalls on certain days of the week selling charcuterie, olives and local products.

The coast and nearest beach is a 20 minute drive through vinyards with roadside stalls selling wine, fruit and vegetables. Day trips: to the east St Tropez , Nice, Cannes, Antibes and Italy; to the west St Maximin/St Baume, Arles, St Remy, Avignon, Aix en Provence and Marseilles. Northwards there is the Les Gorges du Verdon, a scaled down Grand Canyon, and pretty provencal villages. To the south the Iles d'Or are easily accessible from Hyeres which is a lovely town nearby for sightseeing and eating out.
